Right now I’m at a loss of words, especially words that fit the niche of this blog. So I’m going to step away from that niche to ask for help/support/prayers for my dear friend Diana, her newborn son Kaden, her husband Sam, and daughter Bella.
If you haven’t already seen via social media,Diana, gave birth to Kaden a week ago. He had breathing problems, which everyone felt was subsiding and they looked forward to taking him home on Friday. Unfortunately, that would not be the case. Little Kaden’s heart is not doing well. He was air lifted from El Paso, to Children’s Hospital in Dallas. After more tests were run, and specialists brought in, right now talk is about Kaden needing a heart transplant as his diagnosis is heart failure.
There are lots of unknowns right now. And my heart is breaking for Diana and her family, especially as in May of 2012, she lost twins. All I can do is pray and hope for the doctors to be able help Kaden heal so he can live a long life! And Diana is asking for prayers too.
Lots of people, like myself, have been feeling at a loss as to how else to help in a more tangible way. Diana and Sam got on a plane and followed Kaden to Dallas, which is about a 10 hour drive from their home in El Paso. They left everything behind and are still waiting for an opening at the Ronald McDonald house. An easy way you can help is to send donations via PayPal to Diana and Sam to their email address: stone260320 at gmail dot com. This way they have money to help pay for food, car rental, necessities like clothes and toiletries, airfare, or any other unexpected costs. Any little bit you can send would help tremendously as they have a long road ahead of them. I know it means so much to them and finances should be the last thing on their minds right now.
And of course, keeping Diana, little Kaden, and their family in your hearts and prayers would be the best. I know she checks in to social media, though she may not reply, and is overwhelmed with all the support and love and prayers everyone has for her. You can tweet her via @dianawrote or follow her Facebook page, where she’s been updating a little, so she can see how much everyone is thinking about her.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and help in any way you can.
