Amen. The small difference between my take home pay and my daycare expenses used to depress me…until I realized I was taking home a few hundred dollars PLUS a LOT of sanity. (I love my kids, but I have neither the patience nor the creativity to be a SAHM.)

Things are definitely tight for us…but if i didn’t work, we wouldn’t be able to pay our mortgage.

Exacty! I didn’t know I could afford 2 mortgages until I started writing the daycare check each month.

ah…mortgages….I just wish ours was less…then I could have more of my check for myself

I don’t live in a major city, so daycare is a little cheaper. We also put our daughter in a home daycare, which saved us some money. The part that I am worried about is having a second child in daycare. I think that is when budgets become extremely tight! Then we will be paying three mortgages.
I hate that thoughts of a second revolve around daycare costs. We’re having that same conversation in our household.

Love these! Shannon shared a few with me in private, and I nearly peed myself laughing! (although that could be leftover trauma from my delivery.)
LMAO! I’m over two years post delivery, and my bladder hasn’t fully recovered. And so glad you found us! We have so many fun things in store with the Working Momisms!
